Description

Centpro Engineering designs and manufactures Agitated Thin Film Dryers (ATFDs) for efficient drying of concentrated industrial liquids, high-viscosity materials, and process residues. ATFD technology is particularly suitable for applications requiring the conversion of concentrated liquid feed into a dry or near-dry solid product, depending on the material properties and operating conditions. The system spreads the feed into a thin film over a heated surface. A rotating agitator continuously distributes and renews the film, promoting heat transfer and rapid evaporation while reducing the risk of localized overheating and material buildup. Designed around specific process requirements, Centpro's ATFD systems can be integrated with Multi-Effect Evaporators (MEE), Mechanical Vapour Recompression Evaporators (MVRE/MVR), and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems to support efficient concentration and drying of industrial effluents. Key Features Thin-film drying for concentrated liquids and process residues. Continuous agitation for improved heat transfer and film renewal. Suitable for selected heat-sensitive, viscous, and difficult-to-handle materials. Engineered for integration with evaporators and ZLD systems. Customizable design based on feed characteristics, moisture content, and product requirements. Available in suitable material of construction based on process chemistry and corrosion requirements. Applications Chemical and specialty chemical industries Pharmaceutical manufacturing Industrial effluent treatment and ZLD plants Concentrated brines and salt recovery Process residues and selected high-viscosity streams Wastewater concentrate drying Why Choose Centpro Engineering? Centpro Engineering combines process engineering, equipment manufacturing, and EPC capabilities to develop ATFD solutions tailored to actual operating conditions. Our approach considers feed composition, viscosity, scaling tendency, heat sensitivity, material compatibility, and energy requirements to support reliable system performance. Contact Centpro Engineering to discuss your ATFD requirements and identify a suitable drying solution for your process.

Evaporation & Energy Efficient Concentration Systems

Our Multi Effect Evaporator (MEE) is designed for high-efficiency concentration with optimized steam economy and reduced operating costs. By utilizing vapor from one effect as the heating medium for the next, the system significantly minimizes energy consumption. Engineered as per ASME and international standards, it is fabricated in SS304, SS316, Duplex, or alloy steels based on process requirements. The modular and robust design ensures reliable long-term performance in demanding industrial environments. Specification: Capacity: 500 LPH to 200,000 LPH | Effects: 2 to 7 Stage | Steam Pressure: Up to 10 Bar | MOC: SS304/SS316/Alloy Steel | Operation: Continuous | Optional: TVR/MVR Integration Application: Extensively used in chemical, pharmaceutical, distillery, food processing, and effluent treatment plants (ZLD systems) for concentration, solvent recovery, and wastewater volume reduction. Working Principle: The MEE works on the principle of multiple-stage evaporation, where vapor generated in the first effect is reused as the heating medium for the subsequent effect under progressively lower pressure, maximizing thermal efficiency and reducing steam consumption.
